The Blood Elves
Eversong Woods
The Blood elves are focused on many serious problems. They work to purge Eversong Woods of the lingering Scourge presence, they fight to control the Amani Trolls in the southeast, and they work on finding a cure to the magic addiction they have. Several of the blood elves are being corrupted by the addiction, becoming hopeless beings called the Wretched. An ambassador from the Alliance is revealed to be a spy, causing the blood elves to reject their attempts to add the blood elves to the Alliance.
Ghostlands
The Ghostlands are the source of the Scourge in Quel'Thalas. At Tranquillien, the battle against the Scourge continues, while at the Farstrider Enclave, further attempts to push back the Amani Trolls are launched. The Forsaken, as representatives of the Horde, agree to help the Blood Elves defeat the Scourge. A daring raid on Deatholme, the source of the Scourge in the Ghostlands, is launched at the Sanctum of the Sun. Dar’Khan Drathir, a Blood Elf traitor turned Scourge, is found to be directing operations in Deatholme, and is destroyed. The Blood elves join the Horde due to the aid of the Forsaken and the connection to Sylvanas, herself a blood elf before her death.
The Draenei
Azuremyst Isle
Under assault by Kael'thas and his Sunhawk blood elves, the draenei flee Outland aboard the Exodar. The Exodar crash lands on Azuremyst Isle a small island off the west coast of Kalimdor. The wreckage is found to be tainting and mutating the plants and animals of the island. The draenei begin working to halt and, if possible, reverse these mutations. The draenei also befriend shipwrecked members of the alliance.
Bloodmyst Isle
Bloodmyst Isle has been ravaged by radiation from the wreckage of the Exodar. Huge red crystals are scattered across the landscape, and a red mist hangs over the island. The draenei have set up Blood Watch near the middle of the island, hoping to restore it. The Sunhawk Blood elves have managed to follow the draenei to Azeroth. An eredar named Sironas is directing operations, suggesting Keal'thas may be in league with demons. The Sunhawks are using the Vector Coil, a large piece of the Exodar wreckage, to open a portal back to outland called the Sun Gate. The Vector Coil and the Sun Gate are both destroyed by daring raids from Blood Watch.
